Love Healers bring Caribbean country music to Nashville
A stellar set at “Nashville Unexpected” showed that the Love Healers
are the next big thing
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – “Caribbean country music” were the buzz words around “Nashville Unexpected” Tuesday night as the Love Healers band took the stage at The Back Corner, introducing a new genre.
Each month, The Back Corner in Germantown hosts several up-and-coming artists for its “Nashville Unexpected” show. The Love Healers – Thomas Davis, Empress Xi and Rasayana – made their appearance at the venue, taking the stage at 9 p.m. and performing four original songs: “Down by the River,” “Over the Storm,” “To the Fullest” and “Music Medicine.”
“When they took the stage and started playing, you could just feel the atmosphere shift. All of a sudden everyone started dancing, and the room was full of smiles,” said Melissa Russell, who was in the audience Tuesday night.
Formed in October of 2018, the Love Healers are a band with the mission to bring love and healing to a world that desperately needs it. Mixing country melodies and Caribbean flavors, the Love Healers serve to bring people to a place of happiness, where worries are far away and happiness is easy to come by.
“We want people to let the music heal them. We believe in the power of music to make people healthier. We want to be known for our positivity and kindness and just be able to help people everywhere,” said Rasayana, lead singer of the Love Healers.
