Q: Where are you all from?

Empress Xi: I lived in Jamaica until five years ago when my mom got a job in Miami.

Rasayana: I was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands and moved to Miami in my teens.

Q: How did both of you meet?

Empress Xi: I met Rasayana at a hair salon in Miami, and we started talking about music. As we talked, I realized that he could provide an opportunity for me to truly pursue my passion for music – in a way that I wanted where the most important thing is reaching people with the power of music.

Q: Why is music so important to you?

Empress Xi: Everything moves because of vibrations, and that’s what music is. Once people start connecting with you, it’s kind of like you can do anything and it’s perfect.

Rasayana: It brings oneness and awareness – that’s why music is so important.

Q: How has being in Nashville provided greater opportunity for the Love Healers’ success?

Rasayana: Being in Nashville has helped us make so many more connections than we could of made anywhere else. We never would have performed on WSMV’s Today show without the connections we made. Nashville is just the place for music, and everyone you meet has some connection – I guess that’s why they call it “Music City.”

Q: When can we expect your first album?

Rasayana: Our first album will be released at the beginning of summer 2019. We want to release it then because it matches the vibe of our songs – the relaxing, laid-back vibe of the summer sun.

Q: What songs are you most excited about releasing?

Rasayana: “Down by the River” and “To the Fullest” are our top two songs we can’t wait to release. We also are working on a deal with the American Red Cross to release “Over the Storm” as a part of disaster relief promos.

Q: What inspires your music?

Rasayana: I recall the country lifestyle of those in my village and remember the laid back, country lifestyle where everything is good and nature is beautiful – that’s what gets reflected back into my music.

Empress Xi: Growing up in the foothills of the impoverished Jamaican countryside, I was constantly around music … music that could make people come together and heal even in unfortunate circumstances. That’s the kind of music that I am trying to create.

Q: Who do you want your music to reach?

Rasayana: The Love Healers hope to reach all audiences. We feel our music has no racial boundaries and can reach all age groups, ethnicities and even religions.

Empress Xi: The only thing that we hope to achieve with our music is to bring people of all backgrounds together, in love and healing.

Q: What do you hope people think of when they think of the “Love Healers?”

Empress Xi: We want our brand to be more than just a band – but an organization that serves others. We want our name to be associated with positivity, service, happiness and an overall view of a relaxed lifestyle where family and friends are the most important thing.

Q: Where can we find out about upcoming shows and reach you about bookings?

Empress Xi: Follow us on our social media – Instagram: Love_Healers, Facebook: Love Healers – and you can email us at lovehealersband@gmail.com.
